East Riding Theatre Has Many Shows And Groups That Are Perfect To Keep Your Little Ones, And You, Entertained For A While.
Are you sick and tired of watching Peppa Pig over and over again? Do you want a break from having to entertain your babies? Do you wish there was some place where you could meet other parents just like you? Well, there is! Here at ERT we have a range of different shows and groups made especially for parents with young children.
Firstly, Beverley does Broadway, playing from the 16th – 26th August, has a special ‘parent and baby performance’ on Thursday 17th August at 11am. This is a relaxed performance for parents with babies up to 18 months old where the babies go free. This showing is for parents; however, the lights will be slightly up, babies can be fed, you don’t need to worry about them crying and you can even walk about with them if you need to. This is an ideal performance for parents who otherwise wouldn’t be able to watch the show.
Later in the year, we have a show specially for children called The Lightbulb Princess. This is “a delightful new show full of sparkle and song, for everyone aged 4 and up”. Performing on Thursday 2nd November at 11am and 2pm, an exeunt on One Tenth Human’s We’re Stuck! describes the show as “Really great children’s theatre.” Featuring catchy, original songs, The Lightbulb Princess is sure to capture children’s imaginations and inspire them to learn more about the world around them.
Lastly, we have a parent and baby group who meet up in our café once every two months. This group is there for parents who would like to talk to other parents who have had similar experiences to you whilst being able to keep an eye on your children and be in a warm, caring, happy environment. Our café/bar also serves cakes, soft drinks and hot drinks.
