The Beverley-based artist KP Saunt presents a selection of painting about the subject of painting itself.
She interrogates the nature of images, the painting as a flat surface and how mark-making and composition can either work in harmony or create a tense dynamic by appearing to work In opposition. Inspiration is found in the mundane – a case of “the more you look the more you see”. Offering no precise narrative, she invites the viewer to create their own.
In addition to digital painting, K P Saunt works in oil. She also sculpts.
